A visit from military vehicles

On Saturday July 10, members of the First Florida Chapter of the Military Vehicle Preservation Association, MVPA Vice President Dan Simmons, guests, and family members took part in a tour of the Camp Gordon Johnston World War II Museum. Simmons said they had a good turnout as several members also brought their vehicles. During the tour they learned about the training of a quarter-million amphibious troops at the camp during the war, took a walk on the beach, afterwards had lunch. Museum board member Bob Grimes, a member of the MVPA, hosted the event.
