Apalachicola Bay chamber wins two awards


On Sept. 23, the Florida Association of Chamber Professionals held their annual conference in Jupiter, which the Apalachicola Bay Chamber of Commerce attended via a live stream in during the annual Communications Awards ceremony.

The awards consist of four categories - Public Relations, CVB Marketing Materials, Audio Visual Communications, and Membership Marketing Materials. This year the Apalachicola Bay Chamber of Commerce won in two categories, one in Public Relations for its Volunteer of the Year award program and the other for CVB Marketing Materials for the 2021 Butts & Clucks Cook-Off.

“I am very proud of the accomplishments of our chamber and to have our programs and events recognized by the FACP statewide awards program,” said John Solomon, executive director of the Apalachicola Bay chamber. “It is a great honor.”

The FACP, committed to leading chamber professionals through quality and innovative business development, serves over 500 chamber professionals statewide. The association provides chamber of commerce professionals with the information, learning and communications skills to carry out the mission of their chambers. The communication awards are to recognize outstanding achievements in chamber communications, marketing and public relations.

Earlier this year our Solomon was appointed to the FACP board of directors for a term which began this last week. In the past four years the Apalachicola Bay chamber has won seven FACP Communication awards.
