Crooked River hosts market Saturday

The Crooked River Lighthouse is hosting an outdoor Country Market this Saturday, Sept. 18 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Lighthouse Park, 1975 Hwy 98 West, Carrabelle.

The open-air market, at the foot of the lighthouse, now features fresh herbs and veggies from the Lighthouse’s own garden! In addition, local vendors from the community will be on hand with gifts and goodies like fresh roasted coffee, baked goods like cinnamon rolls and artisan breads, art and photography, handcrafted balms and soaps, handmade goods and craft items, and exotic starter plants.

Plus there's Poetry on the Porch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. during the market. Poets, aspiring poets and poetry lovers are invited to share their favorite piece.

Guests can also visit the free museum and browse inside the Lighthouse Gift Shop for nautical gifts. In addition, shoppers have the opportunity to climb to the top of the lighthouse for a view of the Bay.

The Market is recruiting new and returning vendors. Vendors may sign up at any time. The cost to be a vendor is $10 a market.
