Seahawk soccer boys shock Gadsden County

In an away game Nov. 29, the Seahawk boys soccer team picked up their first win, downing Gadsden County 1-0.

Junior Esteban Bernabe scored in the first half on an assist from junior Gideon Dively, to bring the Seahawks ahead in the first half. Freshman Kingston Williams recorded his first clean sheet of the season with six saves in the Seahawks shut-out victory.

“We are a small team, but we are playing with the heart and determination of a team that is much larger,” said coach LeGrand McLemore. “I could not be more proud of our guys and how hard they’ve been working.”

The Seahawks fell 4-2 at home Nov. 30 to Rickards, after taking a 2-0 lead in the first half on goals by junior Corben Pirtchard and Dively.

In an away game Dec. 2, Franklin County fell 6-1 to St. John Paul II, with Dively scoring the lone goal on an assist from freshman Tucker Alford.
