A newly introduced fireworks show in Eastpoint kicks off the weekend on Friday evening, July 1.
Then on Saturday, July 2, the pyrotechnics will light up the skies over Carrabelle, following the the second annual “Un-official” cart/bike/scooter parade. Line up begins in Carrabelle at 5 p.m.
On Sunday, July 3, Apalachicola’s Independence Eve extravaganza will begin at 6 p.m. at Lafayette Park with the annual bicycle and golf cart parade downtown. Billed as the area’s biggest fireworks show, the downtown festivities feature music, food trucks, and a veterans’ tribute.
On Monday, July 4, cool off in the morning at the St. George Island Business Association’s Wet and Wild Golf Cart Parade. Line up begins at 10:30 a.m. A fireworks show on the island closes out the four days of festivities.
Port St. Joe, Wewahitchka and Mexico Beach will be holding fireworks shows to mark the Fourth of July.
Port St. Joe's show will begin at 10 p.m. EDT. Wewa's show will begin a dark and Mexico Beach's show will begin at 8:30 p.m. CDT.

The July 4 festivities will get started a day early, with the sixth annual Forgotten Coast Sea Turtle Festival. The Festival will include music by The Hunter Wall Band, the first Annual Sea Creature Parade at the Festival site, food trucks, turtle talks, educational displays, arts and crafts vendors, and activities for kids.
The Festival is free to attendees and will take place rain or shine at George Core Park in Port St. Joe from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. EDT on July 3.
The Camp Gordon Johnston World War II Museum in Carrabelle is extending its special exhibit “Commemorating D-Day”.through Saturday, July 9. In addition, the museum will have special hours in honor of Independence Day and will be open from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday and Monday, July 3 and 4, in addition to its regular hours Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.. There is no charge for admission to the museum iat 1873 Hwy 98 West, directly across from

Wendy Patrick Designs, Bellou 2, Shirley Southern Boutique, Bayside Bakery, The Joe Art Center, About Beach, Beach Reality and Cabana 15 and The Gulf County Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a First Friday Sip and Shop event on Friday July 1 on Reid Ave. from 5 to 7p.m. EDT. Enjoy adult beverages, light hors d'oeuvres, great deals and good times.
The market on Saturday, July 2, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Crooked River Lighthouse in Carrabelle features local vendors with everything from freshly roasted coffee and baked goods to art and photography, handcrafted soaps, fresh herbs, vegetable seeds,and produce.
Guests can also visit the free museum and browse inside the Lighthouse Gift Shop. or climb to the lighthouse’s top for a breathtaking view of the bay.
