Did you know the monument commemorating the Florida Constitution Convention was erected in Port St. Joe 100 years ago? Celebrate the rich history of the area at the Constitution Convention Museum State Park on Saturday, Dec. 3 from 6 to 8 p.m. EST. Visitors will enjoy the lighting of the monument, a museum open house, luminaries and refreshments.
Lights around the monument can be viewed nightly from Dec. 3 to Jan. 11 to commemorate the Constitution Convention held Dec. 3, 1838, to Jan. 11, 1839.
Santa is coming to the Hill on Friday, Dec. 2, from 4 to 6 p.m. to the Project Impact site, at 190 14th Street behind the community services building. All community children are invited, not just Project Impact children.
Shop local farmers and artisans. Let your family enjoy art pieces and the amazing flavors of fresh veggies, sweet Tupelo Honey and vine-ripened fruit. The Salt Air Farmers Market is open the first and third Saturdays of the month from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. EDT in downtown Port St. Joe. This week, the Port St. Joe Band of Gold will be performing at the market.
The St. George Island Business Association will host the annual St. George Island Lighting of the Palms, beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 2 at the lighthouse. After the lighting at dusk, and the golf cart parade, visit with Santa.
Now through Dec. 10, enjoy decorated trees from organizations around the community at this year’s Forgotten Coast Festival of the Trees at the Joe Center for the Arts in Port St. Joe.

On Saturday, Dec. 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m, the Apalachicola Bay Chamber of Commerce presents the Holiday Fresh Market, on Avenue E between Market and Water streets.

The Ilse Newell Fund for the Performing Arts presents Tallahassee Bach Parley, A Baroque Christmas on Sunday, Dec. 4 at 4 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church, 79 Sixth Street, Apalachicola. Admission is $20 per person, with open seating. Tickets are available in advance through Eventbrite at www.inconcertapalachicola.org. Or, pay a cash donation at the door.
